Mosese Bulitavu can still stand for election: Rabuka

Social Democratic Liberal Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has revealed there’s still room for former parliamentarian and fellow party member Mosese Bulitavu to be a proposed candidate for the upcoming General Election.

Speaking to FBC News Rabuka says according to the law, he can still be a candidate as his conviction and sentence have been set aside.

Rabuka claims Bulitavu is a free man and with his political experience he can apply to be one of the proposed candidates.

“And we can assume he is innocent and anyone who is assume innocent can apply for a candidacy in any of the party”

Bulitavu is currently on bail with his conviction and sentence for Sedition set aside and is awaiting retrial.
