Officiating at the event, Minister for Defense and National Security, Inia Seruiratu commended the FCS on their newest recruits.

“And I’m indeed honored to, not only to be the official guest for the pass out parade but of course to commission one of the principal correction officer’s as well who happens to be a female. This is about empowerment consistent with Resolution 1325 of the United Nations and I’m glad that the Fiji Correctional Service is not an exception and there are bringing in more women into their senior leadership.”

The passing out parade was held at the Naboro complex in the company of family, friends and peers of the Corrections Service.
