A few evacuation centres are open in Nadi.

Nadi Muslim College, Nadi Sangam Primary and Nadi Sangam High have been taking in evacuees since yesterday.

About 40 people are taking shelter at these evacuation centres.

The Namaka area is also buzzing as people are out for last-minute shopping before the curfew.

Long traffic jams are being seen as people want to avoid being caught outside during curfew hours.

A number of people also living in low lying areas of Nadi have moved to higher ground.

Police can also been seen patrolling Nadi.
