More than twenty written submissions for the proposed Village by Laws were received by the Ministry of i-Taukei Affairs yesterday at Rishikul Sanatan College in Nasinu.

Deputy Permanent Secretary, Saimoni Waibuta says overall all the submissions were in favoured of the proposed Village By Laws but there were some concerns raised by the i-Taukei.

“They were so concerns in regards to the consumption of liquor in the village and likewise the yaqona especially for the younger generation and also on marriage for very male who wishes to get marriage should have a house to support his family.”

The next consultation will be held at Nasigatoka village tomorrow.
