More students expected to register for E-cards

Various e-ticketing road shows currently underway are expected to see more students registering.

Education Ministry, Permanent Secretary, Iowane Tiko says they’re also expecting more applications on the bus fare assistance scheme. .

”So far we have twenty-seven thousand that have been issued their e-ticket cards that is both yellow and blue cards. That’s the number with the last head count but we’re feeling some students absent when we did swapping in November and December last year but i think through this road show we will be able to tackle everyone and get all students have proper e-ticket cards before they start on the 15th of this month.”

Meanwhile the ministry is reminding the public not to misuse student’s e-cards.

This comes after some parents were found using student’s e-ticketing cards to board buses last year.
