More Government services is expected to be available for those living on Kadavu, following the Eastern Division road show.

Commissioner Eastern, Luke Morovalu says the road show is part of the government’s initiative to reach out to the rural and maritime population.

“We will reach there on Tuesday and set up and we will commence with the road show and the honourable prime minister will join us on Thursday and Friday we will also be visiting some areas on the island and meeting people. The interesting part of the road show is that we will be trying our best to reach out all government services and statutory body and also the private sector. We know that there is a lot of economic activity in Kadavu, and there are issues that we would like to go and address on the island, we would like to send teams to reach out on the people and provide awareness like the Health Ministry on NCDs and banks will also be on the island.”
