Fiji Roads Authority will be carrying out major road upgrading works in Suva from tomorrow.
FRA General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance, Aram Goes says they will be removing the badly deformed surface which has deteriorated due to old age and high vehicle use stresses on Borron Road and Lekutu Street.
The adjacent side roads of Naqasima Road and Grant Place will also be attended to as part of this upgrade.
Goes says these roads have lost its ability to be waterproofed by conventional chip sealing and hence the inevitability of the formation of potholes.
These works on Borron Road and Lekutu Street is expected to be completed by November 13th.
Other major road reconstruction in progress around Suva area includes Kings Road, Ratu Mara Road, Princes Road McArthur Street and Ratu Cakobau Road.
