More rain expected over next few days

The Weather Office says there will be more rain in the next few days.

Director Meteorology Ravindra Kumar is advising members of the public to take the necessary precaution in this regard.

Kumar says the next few days will bring more rain – but there’s no indication of a prolonged rainy season.

“The weather updates for the next few days is that a moist east to south east is expected to prevail over the country. Occasional showers over the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands. In the western parts of the country we would expect fine apart from afternoon and evening showers an isolated thunderstorms which may also see that some heavy falls are likely.”

Meanwhile, the Fiji Meteorological Office has located two tropical disturbances in the Pacific region.
