Fiji can expect more rain from now till next year says Fiji Metrological Service, Principal Scientific Office, Viliame Vereivalu.

Vereivalu says people need to be prepared for this down pour.

“As we are prepared for the cyclone season there will be more rain fall activity during this season. Thunderstorm activity will be more common and people should be aware of the heavy rain fall as it may lead to flash flooding.”

He is also urging the public to start taking necessary precautions now.
