In a bid to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels, solar systems will be developed in which more employment opportunities for Fijians will be created.
Employment Minister, Jone Usamate says as we’re moving towards reducing carbon emissions, there will be some new industries set up.
Usamate says they’ll identify new industries and train people with the right kind of skills needed to take advantage of these job opportunities.
“When you want to develop system so that people can have more solar panels there will be a lot more jobs created for people who manage the solar panels and for people who create solar panels.”
