More Fijians to receive MSB grants in Labasa today

1,447 micro and small entrepreneurs will today receive up to $1,000 grants from government to start a business or boost their existing business ventures.

This is the 2nd lot of disbursement this week after 1,937 businesses received their Micro and Small Business grants on Monday.

Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya says this brings to 9,247 the number of micro and small businesses in Vanua Levu that’s been assistance under the scheme.

To date, through the scheme, 35,000 micro and small entrepreneurs have been assisted, impacting the lives of 175, 030 Fijians.

This represents a government investment of $35 million since 2015.

Koya adds, they continue to receive increased interest on the MSB Grant.

The number of applications received from all over Fiji currently stands at 47,045.
