A report by Statcounter GlobalStats reveals more than 80 percent of Fijians accessed Facebook last month compared to other social media platforms.
In a more shocking statistic, more than nine percent of Fijians accessed Pinterest – a mobile app which operates a software system designed to discover information on the World Wide Web, mainly using images and on a smaller scale, GIFs and videos.
Youtube came in third with only 3.47% Fijians accessing the video-sharing website while only one point one percent of Fiji’s social media users accessed Twitter – an online news and social networking service.
Surprisingly, around 0.92 percent of Fijians accessed Instagram and 0.16% used Tumblr – a service that allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog.
Statcounter GlobalStats tracks the usage share of search engines, browsers and operating systems including mobile from over 10 billion monthly page views.
