More farmers graduate

Twelve youths from around Vanua Levu graduated with Certificate III in General Agriculture.

Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, Alison Burchell, challenged the young farmers to practice what they learnt.

These youths successfully completed 12 weeks of agricultural training at the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Naleba Youth Training Centre in Labasa.

As part of their 3 month agriculture training, they were also taught financial literacy and the Seeds of Success programme which are part of the Ministry’s training offer aimed at equipping youth with adequate knowledge in order to affect their daily lives positively.
