Finance Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the 2016 budget will address issues that have been left neglected in Fiji such as financial inclusion.

Speaking at the 2015 Pacific Credit Union Technical Congress, the Minister says there is a need for more appreciation for credit unions and the roles they play.

“We are trying to get all the mainstream financial organisations, traditionally the commercial banks, to understand more and to be more part and partial of the growth areas.”

President of the Tongan Credit Union League Mele Amanaki says the meet will help members share information and experiences about managing their own credit unions.
