Money laundering trial continues

The trial of two former officers of Pacific Theological College in Nasese charged with three counts of money laundering will continue at Suva High Court today.

Second state witness, Finance Director Nilesh Sharma told the Suva High Court yesterday that the accused-Rosheen Raj and Rine Sorby made alterations to the cheques in question.

They also made payments of up to $1000 to their bank accounts on a weekly basis without anyone’s knowledge.

It’s alleged that between June 1st 2006 and November 30th 2012, the two while employed at the PTC laundered around 582,000 dollars.

The trial continues at the Suva High court today.
