MOG co-chair observes polling at Suva Grammar

Multinational Observer Group co-chair Jane Prentice is observing the opening of voting at Suva Grammar School this morning.

Multi-national Observer Group co-chair says she is satisfied with the work by the Fijian Election staff at the polling stations as they are very organized.

Prentice was at the Suva Grammar School this morning to observe the opening of voting.

She says as per her observation the people are very confident in their voting and it is very calm.

The co-chair says so far everything is being carried out in a very transparent manner.

Prentice says yesterday morning some of their observers were deployed to other parts of the country so they have people in all divisions.

There are seventy-eight observers who are divided in thirty-eight teams have been deployed around the country to observe the opening of the poll and making sure everything is in order.

Prentice says no one is expecting them and each observer group has been given a region in the division.
