Miss World Fiji Brittany Hazelman left the country today for the Miss World Pageant in China next month.
Speaking to FBC News at the Nadi International Airport, Hazelman says she is anxious and nervous but can’t wait to be part of the Pageant to showcase Fiji, the Pacific and the struggles of the South Seas
Travelling alone to the global event, Hazelman says she is ready.
“I’d like to give that confidence to other Pacific islands women that yes! it is possible to be on an international platform and advocate on things that you are passionate about and I think even here in the Pacific, people face a lot of issues that a lot of developed countries are not aware of.”
Hazelman is among the 120 contestants vying for the annual competition which sees young women from around the world compete for the title of Miss World
