A 33-year-old minivan driver who was drunk while driving along Grantham road, Suva in January last year, has to pay a fine of $300 cash.

Jovilisi Canigata is charged with drunk driving and dangerous driving pleaded guilty to the offence today.

He was driving a minivan which hit a taxi at Grantham road at the time of the accident.

The court heard that he was arrested by Police and tested with alcohol in his blood.

His driving licence has been suspended for three months.
