A strategy has been put in place to address the shortage of medical supply at the various hospitals and pharmacies in the country.
The Health Ministry says this will address and avoid the shortages of medication around the country.
Minister Dr Neil Sharma says the strategy will include the preparation of medicine, planning, training and the management of the medicines.
He says they will also monitor and establish the annual demand for medicine for the next year, undertake basic inventory training for health staff and improve the time of ordering and supplying of medication from the health facilities.
Dr Sharma says measures will also be taken to reduce wastage of medicines.
The Ministry is also looking at a more responsive approach with their suppliers.
