There is a need for collaboration as issues regarding the agricultural sector cannot be solved in isolation.

This was highlighted by Agriculture Minister Mahendra Reddy while officiating at the signing of the statement of cooperation between his ministry and College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry of Fiji National University.

Reddy says the agriculture sector continues to play a vital role in growth development of the economy therefore, this collaboration will strengthen the formulation of policy recommendations.

“With its academic expertise Fiji National University is the best place to provide technical support and much needed research to boost the agricultural sector with the expertise which we have within the agricultural sector."

Reddy says this partnership will provide innovation in research and will carve the path to overcome the challenges which the agricultural sector faces.
