The Health Ministry has set aside funding for capital projects around Fiji.

Minister for Health and Medical Services, Jone Usamate says medical officers in various parts in Fiji are being tasked to look at all physical facilities since all hospitals are different.

_"Some are newer facilities, some are old, they need to look at their own facilities, sometimes it’s the physical facilities, sometimes it’s just keeping it as clean as possible and teaching people how to keep it clean, those kinds of things can be done quickly, but where it requires a lot of capital outlay, that’s going to take a lot more time. For instance this year we have a lot of money set up for capital projects."
