Ministry of Women to implement new programs

The Ministry for Women and Children in collaboration with the Indonesian Government will introduce new programs in the country.

The programmes to assist women and children will come into effect later this year and will continue until 2018.

This was highlighted by Minister for Women Rosy Akbar. She says having more upcoming programs will greatly benefit women and children around the country.

“There has been demarcation of implementation dates and Iam pleased to say that four program activities will be implented for the rest of 2016, five programs in 2017 and two programs in 2017-2018.In strengthening the existing bilateral cooperation, there is willingness to reaffirm and strengthen cooperation.”

Indonesian Women’s Minister Yohana Yembise says Fiji has been an important partner for Indonesia and shares similar social issues.
