The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation organized the first Biennial General Assembly of Older Persons today.

Minister, Mereseini Vuniwaqa says the two day assembly aims to provide the platform for policy makers, partners and older persons to have their voices heard.

“Whilst there has been a progressive development in this area, it is consultations such as this that will provide an enabling environment to hear from both existing and potential stakeholders so that we can contextualize our development approaches to suit the resources and the clientele of older persons here in Fiji.”
