Industry and Trade ministry has partnered with the Global Green Growth Institute to conduct a workshop for entrepreneurs.

The workshop aimed to educate entrepreneurs on government’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Permanent Secretary, Shaheen Ali says such efforts are critical as it will help reduce the risks faced from climate change.

Ali says a number of environment-related initiatives have been introduced in the national budget including the existing ones.

He says the Young Entrepreneurship Scheme will consider eligible proposals and ideas from this workshop that offer credible and sustainable business ventures and plans.
