A lack of human resources officers is a major issue for the Education Ministry.
This was revealed by the Education Minister Rosy Akbar during the 123rd Principal Association Conference as the ministry tries to attend to the needs of more than twelve thousand teachers in the education system.
Akbar seeks support from Principals to understand the situation and act accordingly.
“Let me be honest about it. Lot of issues we are having currently in terms of your salary band, in terms of your promotions, transfer etc. Well let me just say it, we are still struggling, I’ll be very honest about it. This is where I seek your support and your understanding.”
Akbar says the ministry seeks cooperation from principals and wants to use the conference as a platform to suggest positive ideas to help address students issues, teachers’ issues and reforms.
The ministry is working around the clock to address each and every teachers needs and to ensure that they provide the best to students.
170 principals are taking part in the Principal Association’s Conference which ends tomorrow.
