Ministry conducts first ever Male Advocacy Training

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation is for the first time holding a male advocacy awareness training on elimination of violence against Women and Children,” at the Centre for Appropriate Technology and Development (CATD) in Nadave.

Permanent Secretary Dr Josefa Koroivueta says that this is first time the Ministry will organise such training.

The training will be a platform that enables male advocates to openly discuss new ideas, challenges and map the way forward in addressing issues of violence in their communities.

Koroivueta says the training will also help participants to discuss the causes of violence and identify workable strategies to eliminate violence in their communities.

The training ends tomorrow.
