Labour Minister Jone Usumate has called for an audience tomorrow regarding the asbestos find on the MV Lomaiviti Princess.

Samples of suspected asbestos were sent to Australia and returned positive.

Despite this Goundar Shipping Director George Goundar maintains his ship is safe and that all other vessels operating in the country have asbestos.

The Marine Safety Authority of Fiji remains tight lipped on the issue but an update is expected tomorrow following a meeting with the Labour Ministry and the Transport Ministry.
