Local Government Minister Praveen Bala praised the efforts of the community in organising extra activities to raise money for a worthy cause.

Bala made the comments at the Bogi-ni-sota vata at the Vodafone Tebara Carnival last night at Syria Park.

Bala says these activities help to strengthen resolution and network, celebrating togetherness and compliment the opening of the new market and bus stand scheduled for later on.

The minister highlighted a number of developments earmarked for the town; some of which includes the upgrading of playgrounds, improving the town centre outlook and improving service delivery programs that are being gradually implemented.

Nausori is known as the hub for three provinces namely Tailevu, Naitasiri and Rewa.

The week-long festival will also see six Queen Contestants vying for Miss Vodafone Tebara Carnival crown.
