A team from the Commissioner Northern Office with fifteen RFMF personnel left for the village of Dreketi on Qamea, Taveuni, this morning.

More than 20 families in Dreketi village have been evacuated to a neighbouring settlement due to a landslide, which occurred yesterday.

They took with them food rations, clothes, tents to help sustain the people of Dreketi who have been left homeless in the last 24 hours.

A new nursing station was swept away.
