A military officer in his 30’s died while training at the RFMF Black Rock Camp on Monday.

An RFMF Senior Official has confirmed the incident, stating that the soldier collapsed during training.

The man was rushed to the Nadi Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The senior official says the man was part of a Pre-deployment team that was training for six weeks.

He adds the man’s death could be of a natural cause, however, a post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of his passing.
