Micro and small businesses in Savusavu are growing in numbers.

Today, 2,051 micro and small entrepreneurs received their $1,000 MSB grant from government.

This brings the total number of entrepreneurs assisted in Savusavu so far to 4,283.

Handing over the grants to the recipients this morning, Trade Minister Faiyaz Koya says the MSBG programme has done so well because it relies on the ability of the Fijian people to work hard, be innovative and strive for greatness.

Koya reminded the recipients, the grant is not a handout but a leg-up for their businesses.

He adds, it is a grant that can only be used to purchase materials that have been identified as important to start or expand businesses.
