All money collected in Methodist church offerings around the country will be donated to those affected by the recent floods in the western division.
Tamavua village Church based in Suva is among the hundreds of Methodist churches in the country that collected their offerings today for the cause of assisting their brothers and sisters in Christ who have suffered in the two recent floods.
A memo was sent out from the Methodist Church headquarters to all heads of Methodist Church division and circuits to set aside money collected today to be donated to those affected in the flood.
Tamavua Methodist village church is no exception.
Head of the Tamavua village church Reverend Pita Drekilovoni says, money collected today is merely to assist in buying immediate food supplies, and clothing.
He says church members know the difficult situation they are currently facing and their prayers are with them for a quick and safe return to normalcy.
