Methodist meet approved but no permit yet

June 9, 2012 8:02 pm

The Fiji Police force has given the nod for the Bose Ko Viti to go ahead in August, but it must be clear that a permit is yet to be given.

Police Director Operations SSP Rusiate Tudravu says the permit will be given at the end of the month.

Tudravu says if the church will not abide by the conditions laid out by them, they will not release the permit for their July meeting which automatically cancels the Bose Ko Viti.

He has also warned the church that many police officers are church members and they will know if the church does not meet these conditions.

Methodist Church Assistant General Secratary Reverend Tevita Nawadra says they will do everything to ensure the Bose ko Viti gets underway in August

Reverend Nawadra earlier revealed that the suspension of the AGM was historical for the church – which led to them breaching their constitution.
