Methodist declares November month of Prayer

October 31, 2015 8:05 pm

The Methodist Church in Fiji has declared the month of November to be a month of prayer and action for the climate for its faith community.

This was resolved by the Church’s Standing Committee which met on Friday.

Church President, Reverend Tevita Nawadra says that as a nation affected by the impact of climate change the Methodist community needs to support the efforts of leaders and civil society groups who will be meeting at the United Nations Climate Change meeting in Paris at the end of the month.

Nawadra has called on the wider Christian community and our fellow Fijian sisters and brothers to join in prayer for the representatives from Fiji and the Pacific who will be speaking for us in Paris.
