The Methodist Church has been able to collect half a million dollars in an aim to try and collect one point five million dollars at this year’s annual conference.
Acting General Secretary of the Church Reverend Jeremiah Waqainabete says he has faith the church will achieve its targeted amount, given the number of local and overseas choir groups participating.
Waqainabete is thankful to church members for their support to raise the target of one point five million dollars.
“We plan to try and capture the amount that we forecast but the actual financial years ends up in May next year so the amount that we collect will be divided into quarters for the projects that we have and also set in our work plan.”
Meanwhile, more than 50 senior church ministers will meet from tomorrow at the Centenary church in Suva to discuss the Methodist’s Churches strategy going forward.
