The Suva High Court has sentenced three men to imprisonment for aggravated robbery.

Ilaitia Nadavulevu, Mataiasi Moceilevuka and Irami Ceinaturaga were each charged with three counts of robbery.

The court heard the three entered the house of 51-year-old Karun Ghandi in January this year while he was asleep with his family.

The men who were masked and armed threatened Ghandi and his family and ransacked the house.

They stole electronic items, jewellery, and other valuables and drove away in the victim’s car.

Upon their arrest items worth over $44, 000 were recovered.

Nadavulevu and Moceilevuka have been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment while Ceinaturaga has to serve 14 years behind bars.
