A memorial church service was held in Nadi yesterday for a 14 year old boy who was killed in a car accident in Votualevu, Nadi early this week.

The service was attended by close family members, relatives and friends of the late Rafael Yavala Junior.

The funeral cortège of Yavala will leave Nadi for Savusavu tomorrow where he will be laid to rest in the village of Nacekoro on Tuesday.

Yavala Junior is survived by his parents and three siblings.

The family came from overseas and were spending their holidays in Fiji when the tragic accident happened.

Police says the driver of the vehicle which hit Yavala is still in custody.
