Memorable trip for 12 children battling cancer

It was a memorable experience for 12 children who are currently battling cancer after they were taken for a day trip to Mana Island in the Mamanucas.

WOWS Kids Team Leader Viola Lesi says the trip was organised by “Returnees of Mana Island”, the group decided to invite the kids and treat them.

She says the experience was priceless especially for the kids.

“It at least makes our children for a day forget what they face daily and they get to be normal kids.”

19 year old Mahima Pillay who is currently battling with the killer disease says it was a happy day for them.

“I did not expect this much, I thought it would be something normal or usual but it was unusual."

The Kids were given early Christmas gifts, treated for lunch before and also had a 3hrs Scenic Flight by Pacific Island Air around the Mamanuca’s & Malolo Group of islands.
