July 26, 2017 2:23 am

A mediation date has been set on the 8th of next month where the Confederation of Public Sector Union will sit before the Labour Arbitration.

The two issues filed includes the 15 percent salary claim which has been pending since 2015 and the issue of a pre-condition that all permanent staff must sign a five-year contract before they are given a salary increase, as announced in the budget last month.

Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary Agni Deo Singh says the Unions includes the Fijian Teachers Association, Fiji Teachers Union, Fiji Nursing Association and the Public Employees Union.
