MSAF maps out plans for this year

The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji has set its goals for this year so that it can continue to position itself as an entity devoted to develop Fiji’s maritime standards.

MSAF’s Acting Chief Executive, Captain Philip Hill says they’re focusing on ensuring that the highest safety standards are met.

Capt. Hill says there are plans in the pipeline, aimed at improving their services.

“Improve on our awareness programs and we will continue with the training programs that we do for the small boat operators and we will continue to take our life saving appliances to Mari-time islands and sell them at cheap prices so that all the appliances are available for small boat operators.”

He also reiterates that crowd control is important for all vessel operators who continue to provide services to maritime island.
