Mariners have been warned to exercise caution while travelling out at sea.

It says accordingly, travelling out in small fishing boats such as punts or fibreglass boats should be minimized.

The NDMO is also advising the public to heed continuously to the heavy rain warning and alerts that still remain in force for the Fiji Group.

A flood alert also remains in force for all low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to major rivers for the whole of Fiji.

The rain and flood warning comes as a Tropical Disturbance (TD08F) with an associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the Fiji Group.
