Man with disabilities starts business

A 34-year-old man who is living with disabilities has decided to start his own business in order to support his mother.

Imraan Hussain who operates a stall at the Lautoka Market says that after being let go by his former employer due to his disability, he decided that it was not the end for him.

Hussain says that after physically going door to door looking for employment, the Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to assist him.

“I’m an independent person and I want to do things that I can do because I do not want to depend on other people.”

Hussain says that he is grateful for the assistance as he is also the only income earner in his family.

He says that he did not want to opt for begging as he aims to be a successful businessman.
