Man who allegedly assaulted his brother pleads not guilty

A man who allegedly struck his brother with a cane knife pleaded not guilty to the charges in the Suva High Court this morning.

The man against whom an interim domestic violence restraining order has been issued appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

The man is charged with one count of act intended to cause grievous harm.

It is alleged on April 17th the man unlawfully struck his brother with a cane knife on his left wrist in Samabula, Suva.

The matter has been remitted to the Magistrates court and will be called on the 23rd.
