“Because the issue is so rampant and the perpetrators are so widespread we have to start somewhere as they exist in all social structures of the society. What I have learnt is that this is not a poor mens problem is not a rich mens problem is not a political problem, and it is not a problem of race, it is a problem in the society.”

A campaign called “ Man Up” has been launched to eradicate violence from our homes, community and our nation.

A march has also been organized this Saturday and call has been made for men to join the national effort to eradicate violence from our homes.

Meanwhile Fijians have been urged to call on national child helpline 1325 and domestic violence helpline 1560 and to report any forms of violence.
