A thirty-four-year-old man has been sentenced to two years imprisonment after pleading guilty to one count of aggravated burglary.

Apisai Takalaibau entered a vacant house in Lami in January and stole assorted items valued at $2, 950.

High Court Judge Justice, Daniel Goundar while sentencing Takalaibau said he committed the offence when the owner was overseas.

The man has a non-parole sentence of two years.
