A Nasinu man who allegedly threatened to kill another man for eloping with his wife has been remanded in custody.

Ubinesh Chand appeared before NasinuMagistrate Sufia Hamza and is charged with criminal intimidation and damaging property.

Nasinu Police Prosecutor Raymond Filipe says the alleged threat occurred on Tuesday this week.

Magistrate Hamza handed a domestic violence restraining order to protect the wife and daughter.

The case will be recalled on the 16th of this month.
