Man remanded for drunk driving

A man who was arrested for drunk driving early on Saturday morning, is also alleged to have bribed the arresting officer.

The alleged incident occurred when the suspect was arrested at about 3am in Nadi.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says when the man was escorted back to the Namaka Police Station he allegedly took out $150 and demanded his release.

He remains in custody as investigations continue.
