A 49-year-old Carpenter of Koro in Lomaiviti has been further remanded in custody for allegedly raping his wife.

It is alleged that the offence took place over the weekend inside their home, in the Island, after the woman refused.

Prosecution objected to bail because it is an indictable offence and a DVRO is in place against the accused.

The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court on the 22nd of this month.
