A 52-year-old manager has been questioned and released as investigations continue as to why he had allegedly taken unclaimed mail to his farm in Tailevu.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says another employee and a legal officer found the mail bags at the suspect’s property and lodged a report at the Totogo Police Station last Friday.

Police later went to the same property and discovered the mail bags and brought it back to the station.

Post Fiji Chairman Lawrence Tikaram has confirmed that the issue has been brought to his attention and is being investigated internally.

Police investigations continue.
