A thirty-year-old man who allegedly fondled a woman inside a minivan, pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault.

He appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today and asked for forgiveness.

He was sentenced to twenty days imprisonment, suspended for three years.

The offence occurred over the weekend, when the victim got in a minivan from Nausori bound for Suva.

The man began talking to the victim and allegedly indecently assaulted her during the ride.

He told the court that he was not aware of what he was doing, but admitted that he was drunk, at the time of the incident.
